The best development is the recent demonstration that pulmonary rehabilitation, delivered after a hospitalization for COPD exacerbation, substantially improves survival. Rehabilitation therefore joins a very small number of interventions demonstrated to improve COPD mortality.
The worst development is the tragically low availability of pulmonary rehabilitation, made even worse by the pandemic. Whether attempts to institute home rehabilitation programs will be of help will be discussed.

Asthma is prevalent worldwide, and can emerge from various exposures and risk factors throughout a lifetime. Understanding the phenotypes and endotypes of asthma is necessary to provide state-of-the-art care for individuals with asthma. However, models of care may vary based upon access to advanced levels of care and latest therapies, including biologic therapies. In our session we will explore best practices within the ideal state and the real-world experience of asthma care by examining various models of care in the context of guidelines set worldwide.

Group 3 pulmonary hypertension has always presented a clinical conundrum.
Do we look for it or not? And if we find it, what to do? To treat or not to treat? Emerging evidence suggests that this is a viable target with new evidence resulting in the FDA’s approval of the first agent targeting PH-ILD.
